The Travillian Group is pleased to announce that Brett Rabatin has joined the firm as Head of Bank Strategy. The Strategy function at the firm will provide strategic planning, organizational assessment for improvement, capital strategies, and loan portfolio review and stress testing primarily to community banks across the country. This service will be offered on a stand-alone basis and as an integrated offering alongside Search and Talent Advisory within the Banks & Credit Unions practice.

Brett will also lead our original content channel, Of Banker’s Interest, offering a unique perspective of the community banking space. In this capacity, he will work with internal and external contributors to produce industry-related articles, Q&As, webinars and other forms of media.

“I am thrilled to have Brett on the Travillian team,” said Dave Yancoskie, Managing Partner of The Travillian Group. “Brett and I have known each other for almost 20 years. As a sell-side analyst covering the bank space, I always considered him one the most inciteful, informed and intellectually honest members of his profession. He is going to greatly enhance our service offerings to banks and strengthen our already strong bond with the service providers in the space.”

Brett has spent over 20 years as a distinguished analyst covering banks for Piper Jaffray, Sterne Agee, FTN Midwest and JC Bradford. Earlier in his career, Brett was recognized as the number-one stock picker in The Wall Street Journal’s Best on The Street survey for banks and thrifts, among 97 analysts, and also recognized as number two overall, all sectors, in Forbes and StarMine. Brett was also the number-one earnings estimator in 2013 and number two twice within the bank/thrift sector.

Head of Depository Search, Brian Love, commented, “We are extremely excited by Brett joining the Travillian team. Over the past five years, our Banks and Credit Unions practice has grown exponentially. Brett’s broad industry exposure, reputation and network - coupled with his knowledge of bank leadership, profitability, and strategy - make him a massive upgrade to our entire firm.”

Brett is an alumnus of The University of Memphis, and he, his wife, and son live in Nashville, TN.
